Summer school on Theory, Mechanisms and Hierarchical Modelling of Climate Dynamics: Artificial Intelligence and Climate Modelling, held at Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), Trieste
"EXTREMES" focuses on researching increasingly frequent and intense weather and climate extremes, such as heatwaves, droughts, floods, and storms, which impact both people and nature, causing damages and losses in our country. Since 2000, these damages in our country have been estimated at over 7 billion euros. Throughout the project, our team will employ modern and innovative methodological approaches and the latest technologies to explain these events, their causes, analyze current consequences, and assess potential risks in the future.

The EXTREMES project team participated in the European Geosciences Union (EGU) General Assembly 2025, held in Vienna, Austria, from April 27 to May 2, 2025. As one of the largest international gatherings of geoscientists, EGU provides an invaluable platform for presenting cutting-edge research, exchanging ideas, and building interdisciplinary collaborations.
